Last month we asked our readers to let us know how their businesses were doing given the current economic downturn. Here are the results:
First, we asked our survey respondents for their company's gross revenues in 2007:

- 55% reported less than $300,000
- 18% reported between $300,000 and $500,000
- 9% reported between $2 million and $4 million
- 18% reported more than $4 million

A majority of our respondents predicted their gross revenues would decrease in 2008 compared to 2007: |
- 45% predicted a decrease of more than 10%
- 18% predicted a decrease of between 1% and 10%
- 27% predicted their revenues would stay the same as 2007
- 9% predicted an increase of between 1% and 10%

Our respondents' business outlook for 2009 was a bit more optimistic compared to 2008: |
- 36% predicted a decrease of more than 10%
- 9% predicted a decrease of between 1% and 10%
- 36% predicted their revenues would stay the same as 2008
- 18% predicted an increase of between 1% and 10%
