Survey Results: Weinstein Email Survey Results

Last month we surveyed our readers about how they use email to market their businesses. Here are the results:

  • 22% of the respondents publish an email newsletter, while 78% do not.

    Of the respondents who publish an email newsletter:

    - 50% send an e-newsletter weekly
    - 50% send an e-newsletter twice a year

  • 33% of the respondents publish a print newsletter, while 67% do not.

    Of the respondents who publish a print newsletter:

    - 50% publish a print newsletter weekly
    - 50% publish a print newsletter monthly

  • When asked what has prevented them from using email newsletters and promotional email to market their businesses, respondents rated the following reasons on a scale from 1 to 5 (with 5 being the most important reason]:

    Don't' know where to start:

    - 37.5% chose a rating of 1
    - 37.5% chose a rating of 3
    - 25% chose a rating of 5

    Don't have time to create the content:

    - 37.5% chose a rating of 1
    - 25% chose a rating of 2
    - 12.5% chose a rating of 4
    - 25% chose a rating of 5

    Technical concerns about preparing and sending emails:

    - 25% chose a rating of 1
    - 25% chose a rating of 2
    - 25% chose a rating of 3
    - 25% chose a rating of 4
